Paige & Mike's Great Adventure Part 1

So Mike and I are heading out on our great adventure today. You didn't think I would be able to go blogless for 2 weeks though did you? I am writing posts ahead of time and setting them to post while I'm gone so that you can stay up to the minute on my travels, for all 3 of you who care that is. We'll be driving to Florence, Alabama today, about a 7 hour trip. We'll be staying with my sister Karrie and her boyfriend Seth for two days.

It appears that Florence has a Frank Lloyd Wright home which is open for tours, see picture above. They also have a cultural arts center, Indian Mounds and museum, and a few yarn stores. Seth just bought a house by the water and his father has a boat so chances are we will do no more than a few of the things in that list after we spend some well-deserved time relaxing.

My baby sister Karrie is one of the most beautiful people that I know both inside and out and I'm not just saying that since I take some credit for raising her. She was always my little pet and we spent countless hours gabbing and had one of those relationships that you didn't have to say a word for the person to know exactly what you were thinking. We've grown apart since she's been in Alabama which has broken my heart a bit. I'm really looking forward to having some time to just sit and be with her again.

I'm really interested in seeing Karrie's world and where she works. She is managing a residential facility for troubled boys and I'm incredibly proud of all she's accomplished. She has a lot of responsibility on her young shoulder's and I know that she is strong enough to carry them.

I'll be checking in on things as time & DSL allows but don't be offended if I don't get back to you right away or do many drops for the next couple of weeks.
